Resources - Jesus calms storm
This page has some general concepts that you may find useful.
There are also some limited copyright issues, which are towards the bottom of that page here. Please do read them. They are not complex!
I also make some comments about the source of material - again please read, especially if you recognise your material! I mean no offense.
There is also an Alphabetical list of resources here
On this page you will find a number of downloads that help tell the account of Jesus calming the storm.
In the bible this can be read in Matthew 8:23-27; Mark 4:35-41 and Luke 8:22-25.
A small colour booklet telling the story. (PDF Download here)
This, and the larger version below, are from Lambsong. They have agreed that we can use and alter the material in any way and make it available to others. Our thanks to them.
To print this.
Although the pages in the PDF look in a muddle, they are not! Simply follow these instructions and all will be well!
- This needs to be backed, double-sided or duplex printed, short edge or short sided binding or whatever your machine says. NOT LONG edge!
- Then once printed you will see that there are two copies per page. Simply cut the paper into two and staple them together to make the booklet
Booklet to colour. (PDF Download here)
This is a larger version of the colour booklet above. It is in outline only so it can be coloured in.

A4 Page - join the dots and colour in (PDF Download here)
Originally downloaded from here
Very simple fold-over craft work. (PDF Download)
To print and use:
- This download needs to be backed in the normal way. If you are given a choice choose "Long Edge". It normally defaults to this anyway.
- The "front" page is Jesus in the boat, with clouds and a sun in the sky
- The "back" page has storm clouds at the top.
- Fold over the storm clouds at the dotted line, to flap over the sun on the "front" page.
- So the story starts with the storm clouds. Jesus calms the storm, and the storm clouds can be folded over to reveal the calm clouds and sun.
This, too, can be coloured in.
A small prayer card (PDF Download) = Jesus calms the storm prayer.pdf
A simple prayer:
Thank you Jesus for being with me.
Please Jesus help me today.
Help me Jesus not to be afraid.
Thank you Jesus for always loving me. Amen
This is a single sheet of four cards that can be chopped up.
And a full A4 version of the prayer! (PDF Download)
