Resources - A Simple Easter Card
Depending on your group you can get them to do as much or as little as you feel. We did this with some profoundly disabled people, and simply helped them to press on the bits to stick, to ensure that they were as involved as possible.
You will need
- White card - A4 size
- Black card - A4 size
- Glue
- Glue dots or double sided sticky foam tabs
- Cut out the silhouette of the cross on the hill, and the tomb
- Cut out a second cross the same size as the one on the hill.
- Cut out the tomb entrance, carefully keeping the bit you cut out. This will be the stone that was rolled away.

- It is best to prepare these before the group unless you have people who are able to do the cutting out safely.
The aim is to have one card per person, and to get them to:
- stick the silhouettes onto the card
- to stick the extra cross on top of the cross on the hill
- to stick the stone that rolled away near the entrance of the empty hill
You will see from the pictures that this gives the cross a raised look, and the stone the impression that it is standing away from the grave a bit. All this is to give a bit more interest to the card!
You can then write "Jesus is alive", or something else that is relevant, and add some simple yellow "rays" our from the cross.
To make the card stand up, fold it between the two silhouettes. It will not fold in the middle, but it does stand up!
